Dr. Andrew Dutta’s earliest exposure to astrology came through a multigenerational family tradition. His maternal great-grandfather, Surendranath Jyotir Vachaspati of Khulna, was associated with astrological practice, while his mother, the late Srimati Deblina Dutta—also known as Ujjwala Dutta—became his first teacher.
Under her guidance, he developed a foundation in Vedic astrology, predictive principles and traditional remedial methods. This early training was reinforced by close observation of real consultations and the practical application of astrology in everyday life.
Dr. Dutta later studied under Jyotiryogi Sri Pramod Ranjan Mahanto. This training deepened his understanding of predictive Vedic astrology, gemology and established remedial systems.

Dr. Dutta received specialised training in Krishnamurti Paddhati from the late Sri P.V.K. Punneswara Rao in Hyderabad.

Sri Punneswara Rao had studied under Sri V.B.N. Sarma of Warangal, who learned directly from Prof. K.S. Krishnamurti, the founder of the KP System. This teacher–student lineage connects Dr. Dutta’s training with the formative tradition of Krishnamurti Paddhati.

A PhD in Management, he was the Visiting Research Scholar to the Bentley University in Massachusetts, USA in 2004-05 where he developed his doctoral dissertation in management, which was awarded to him after his successful thesis defense in 2007 in India. He visited the USA again in 2011 to present his research paper in management education at Marquette University in Wisconsin and in 2013 in University of North Carolina in Ashville and also to attend conferences in management and for presenting his technical papers.

Express Star Teller (a publication of the Express Newspaper Group) honored him in 2009 with the prestigious “Nostradamus 2009” Award to recognize his remarkably accurate political prediction. Three months before the election outcome, he had unequivocally predicted that the UPA Government would return to power in the Parliament of India. As a result, the subsequent fulfillment of this prediction earned him this distinguished recognition.
